Material List For the Therapist

 

  • 1 box of 12-24 colors oil pastels (Crayola waxy crayons are not acceptable)

  • 1 box of 6 felt markers, any kind with basic colors. Crayola washables are fine

  • 1 box of art lead pencils (or at least one 4B pencil and one regular one)

  • Sharpener

  • 3-5 magazines with images and advertisement that speak to you.

  • 1 pair of scissors, labeled, 2 small glue sticks, 1 small bottle of white school glue 

  • 1 small bag with an assortment of objects you like (buttons, ribbon, fancy paper, stickers, etc.)

  • 2 regular pencils and a ruler if you wish

  • 1 roll of scotch tape

  • High quality colored pencils—a 12 pencil Berol pack is a good choice, also try Berol China pencils

  • 5 inexpensive brushes--small, medium, large

  • 2-3 water containers and rags

  • 5 basic paints (acrylic or tempera; red, green, yellow, blue, black and white) or mixing set (Cadmium Red Medium Hue, Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue, Ultramarine Blue, Hooker's Green Hue Permanent, Yellow Oxide, Burnt Umber, Titanium White, and Mars Black)

  • 1 pad/packet 18x24 white drawing paper (80 lb.) 

  • Strathmore 400 Drawing Pad Smooth 18x24 or any other brand more or less in these sizes and weight

  • 1 pad/packet 12x18 or 18x24 pastel paper assorted colors 

  • Strathmore Pastel Pad 9 Inch X12 Inch or any other brand more or less in these sizes and weight

  • Crayola 24 ct Oil Pastels Portfolio Series -- these are great-- Portfolio series

  • Rembrandt Soft Pastels Talens : Rembrandt soft pastel : 30 Assorted 1/2 Stick Box

  • Willow Charcoal 25/Pkg soft medium and hard if possible
