Workshop Description

This workshop demonstrates techniques that Cedar-Sinai Medical Center’s Psychological Trauma Center uses in their school-based “Share and Care” program.  Participants will practice experiential activities used to help students develop positive coping skills and address various traumatic issues.  The workshop introduces participants to art-based interventions as a foundation for self-exploration, healing, and communication.   By the end of this workshop, participants will gain an understating of how art in a group setting provides a corrective, positive, experience for children who have experienced trauma.
